I am speaking spring into existence, so I am so excited to dive into this spring time book tag!

1. Getting started: A book series you’ve been wanting to read
Wow, there are just so many! But I think a series that has been calling to me recently is The Poppy War trilogy by R.F. Kuang. I have heard nothing but good things and I’m just ready to dive into this world.
2. Cleaning/organizing the closet: The best way to organize books
I love organizing my books by color! I know it is not the most practical because it is so hard to add books when you do a haul (lest you mess up the aesthetic), but it is the most fun to me and it helps me easily locate books!
3. Getting rid of unnecessary things: Book/series you no longer need
I will be the first to say I am really bad at keeping books even if I have read them and disliked them. I recently listed a few books on e-Bay that I am ready to sell, among them Star Daughter by Shveta Thakrar. I have been holding onto it because I have a signed edition and the cover is so stunning, but I know I won’t re-read it.
4. Get some air: Your favorite light-hearted read
hahaha who’s surprised this book has made yet another appearance on my blog? I just love it so much and I am so excited that Casey McQuiston has a new book being released in the next few months!
5. Clean out the kitchen cupboards: Favorite food-themed read
With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo is the first book I thought of! This book follows Emani, who dreams of going to culinary school so she can provide for her daughter. I read this book about 2 years ago and am hoping to re-read it this summer!
6. Dust the shelves: What’s the fifth book on your bookshelf?
I am not sure if there is a proper way to count books on your shelf, but if I did it right I believe my 5th book is How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories by Holly Black! I suppose this is a sign that I need to read it because I could really use some more Cardan content in my life.
7. Wishing for the end: A 2021 release you’re really excited about
I am so excited for A Psalm of Storms and Silence to come out in August! A Song of Wraiths and Ruin was one of my favorite books of 2020, and so I preordered the sequel in January. I need to know what happens next!
8. Long but satisfying: The longest book series you’ve read
Oh goodness, I was just telling one of my friends how horrible I am at finishing series. So, I am ashamed to say that I think the longest series I’ve read is only a quartet, which would be The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.
