WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, all you have to do is simply answer the 3 W’s.

What Are You Currently Reading?

Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron- I am literally living for this book right now! It has been so action packed and interesting so far. I love the world the author has created, it is unlike any other world I have read about before. This book takes places in the world Cinderella takes place in, but she has been dead for 200 years. Now, every year the kingdom pays tribute to Cinderella by having an annual ball where the young women must get chosen to by men to be wives, or they mysteriously vanish from the kingdom.

One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London – This is another book I am loving right now! This book follows Bea, a plus-size fashion blogger who is chosen to be on the reality TV show Main Squeeze (comparable to The Bachelorette). There have been so many interesting coversations about plus size representation and how plus sized women are treated vs. skinny women. I can already tell this is going to be a new favorite of mine! I wouldn’t be surprised if both of these end up being favorites for the year.

WHAT HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?

A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow – I am happy I am loving this weeks books so much, because last weeks’ didn’t really do it for me. This story had an interesting premise, but the magic system was hard to follow and although the story was told in dual perspective, the characters had the exact same voice. I struggled to finish this one because I just didn’t care anymore, even though it was less than 300 pages.

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo- I am sad to introduce my first DNF of the month. I buddy read this with my friends, but even though it was short, I couldn’t finish it. We were thrown into the world with no information and it was jarring to me, and I couldn’t follow along. Furthermore, even though I made it over halfway through, I knew essentially nothing about our main character. Between this and the lack of plot, it wasn’t enough to keep me invested.

What Will You Read Next?

Forest of Souls by Lori M. Lee – I know this was on my WWW post last week, but this is actually the book I plan on reading next! I don’t want my loan to expire from the library, so I will definitely have to get to it soon!

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows – This book has been on my radar for a very long time, so I’m happy to finally have put it on my September TBR! This is a historical fantasy that takes during the Tudor era, which sounds like everything I would ever want in a book!

Leave your WWW Wednesday’s in the comments below! And of course, happy reading!

I hope you enjoy My Lady Jane. I didn’t find it as funny as most people did, but I still thought it was good!
    Happy reading! 😊
